How to use the Himalayan Tile
Step 1: Heat the slab slowly. This is important
especially the first few times you use the tile. 20
minutes on low 20 minutes on medium 20 minutes on
high. Once hot Sprinkle test: Sprinkle a few drops of
water on the tile, if they begin to sizzle and disappear
immediately, the tile is ready for use or Hand Test:
Hold your hand two or three inches above the tile. If
you cant keep it there for more than 5 seconds, its
hot enough.
Step 2: You are ready to place whatever type of food you
want to cook: Steak, Fish, etc. For this example we
will use steak. Place a whole steak or sliced pieces of
steak on the tile. Begin to flip the whole steak and /
or pieces using a metal spatula or tongs. Do not use
plastic!
Cooking time: 1-2 min. / side for thin slices of steak
4-5 min. / side for thicker cuts of meat.
Step 3: When the steak is done, remove it from the tile
with your metal spatula or tongs. Once heated, you can
leave the tile on the burner and cook with it for
several hours.

Step 4: Cool it for at least one hour. Leave on stove
top, turn off heat, and let stand until cool to the
touch. Cleaning the tile: Moisten a sponge or scouring
pad NO SOAP! Scrub the tile to remove anything that is
stuck Wipe clean with a dry towel repeat until the
block is clean.
Step 5: Air dry. Or dry it with a clean cloth. Then
store it anywhere; pantry, cupboard, counter top.

BE AWARE!
Salt tiles darken after being heated, and may develop
fissures and sometimes large cracks. The tile also
retains colors from the proteins cooked on it.
DO NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT ANY OF THESE THINGS!
